The Carolina Wren is diminutive in size, but certainly not in character. If the Wren's song was any indication as to its size, these birds would be 10 feet tall! Spring mornings are one of the best times to hear these birds sound off. I have often enjoyed watching Wrens as they hunt and feed around the forest or man made habitats. For years Tracy has had a pile of bricks, blocks, and junk on his place. I have often ridden by and photographed this heap of discarded building materials as the sunlight changed its appearance throughout the day. Last summer I finally put some of my reference material together and came up with "Hopper Hunter."
