Uncle Eddie's Corn Crib

"Uncle Eddie's Corn Crib" - Acrylic on canvas - 8" x 10" -  $875

My uncle Eddie Goodman lives down close to the Ocmulgee River and enjoys raising his own vegetable garden along with field corn, which he uses to feed his livestock. After a long spring and summer of tending his corn, he uses and old-timey corn picker to harvest the crop. After he gathers up the ears, he stores them in a wooden corn crib, which measures 12 by 20 feet. The crib is nestled among a stand of large oak and pine trees. These trees are home to a congregation of cat and fox squirrels. Over time, these rodents and other critters have learned that the small wooden structure is packed full of delicious yellow gold. The thieving hungry mob takes advantage of Uncle Eddie's hard work by gnawing holes and pillaging away the ill-gotten booty.
