Song Sparrows can be found along brushy and grassy fence lines. When you flush a Song Sparrow from its cover, he will pump his tail up and down as he flies. During their winter stay in South Georgia, I have observed that this species is less vociferous than they are when they are in their nesting phase in North Georgia. |
