"Lunching on Lantana" - (Queen Butterfly - Danaus gilippus)

Until early November 2007, I had never seen a Queen Butterfly in the wild. My reference for this piece came from a photograph I took while visiting a butterfly garden tent at the 2006 Plantation Wildlife Arts Festival. I have found that lantana is an excellent lure for both butterflies and hummingbirds.
