Guinea Fowl are one of my favorite bird / fowl species. An African fowl, the Guinea has been transplanted out of the Dark Continent down to the farm. I have had several groups of the comical and vociferous birds on my place over the years. They are wary birds and run together in flocks. They are often kept on the farm to help eat destructive bugs from the garden and serve as watch birds. Anytime they perceive something out of the ordinary, the flock erupts into a chattering racket that resembles ball bearings clanking together.
